The Sealife SportDiver Ultra Underwater Smartphone Housing (SL405) is rated to 40 meters and fits most iPhone and Android smartphones, including Max and Ultra formats: all Samsung Galaxy S-series Ultra models, large Google Pixel models, and iPhones such as the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The specifications of both models are the same; only the size differs.
The housing is constructed of polycarbonate, 304-316 stainless steel, hard-anodized T6061 aluminum, and optical-grade glass. It weighs 808 g (housing only, without batteries, filter, and Moisture Muncher) and is positively buoyant by 150.4 g in seawater when fitted with batteries, a red filter, and a Moisture Muncher. External dimensions are 213.1 x 125.7 x 54.8 mm, internal dimensions 165 x 80 x 9.7 mm. Seven standard 1/4-20 tripod mounts are built into the housing. A padded Sealife deluxe lanyard with a rotating attachment clip is included.
The housing connects to the phone via Bluetooth Low Energy 5 and runs on 2 x AAA batteries (alkaline or NiMH) for over 50 hours of continuous use. The lens is optical glass with an anti-reflective coating. The LCD window is an optical-grade polycarbonate full-frame display window.
The SportDiver app is free, with no in-app purchases or ads. The app language is English. iOS camera settings include lens selection, auto and manual focus, white balance (3000K to 8000K), tint, exposure value (-3.0 to +3.0), image format (JPEG, RAW, RAW+JPEG), ProRAW (iPhone 12 Pro and higher), video resolution (ProRes, 4K, 1080p, 720p), power-save mode, and screen brightness. Android settings include lens selection, shutter speed (1/30s to 1/2000s), ISO (50 to 3200), exposure value, focus, white balance, color effects, 3-shot burst, photo resolution, video resolution (4K, 1080p, 720p), stabilization, RAW+JPEG, power-save mode, and screen brightness.
An underwater color-correction filter is included and can be attached to the lens underwater. The housing door is sealed with a TPE rubber main O-ring; the vacuum check port uses silicone rubber O-rings (replacement set SL40010). A Moisture Muncher capsule and rubber grip tabs are included. The Dual Leak Alarms system includes an internal moisture alarm and a vacuum pressure alarm. If the seal is compromised or moisture is detected, the system alerts you with on-screen warnings, audio, and LED signals. Two LED indicators on the housing show the pressure status and the power and wireless connection status at all times.
Operating and storage temperature is 1°C to 38°C. The housing is CE, RoHS, and FCC certified (FCC ID: 2ACKF-SL405), designed and developed in the USA, manufactured in China, and covered by a 1-year limited warranty, or longer subject to local legal requirements. A printed English manual is included; Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Dutch manuals are available for download from the Sealife website.
