How it works
The Fourth Element PSI Dryglove System uses a simple push and twist bayonet-style fitting to attach drygloves to your drysuit. The sleeve ring and glove ring each have clearly visible red markings. Line up the red markings, twist, and the gloves are locked securely in place — similar to mounting a lens on a camera with a quarter turn. To remove, twist back to re-align the markings and gently pull the rings apart.
Compatibility
This Standard set is compatible with the Si-Tech PU ring (part number 60251) as used in the following systems: Fourth Element Ellipse, Si-Tech QCS Oval, Rolock and Ultima. If you are currently using any of these systems, the Fourth Element PSI Dryglove System can be retrofitted without specialist equipment.
The PSI Dryglove System requires the Si-Tech PU rings to be installed on the sleeves of your drysuit. It will not work with neoprene or glued latex wrist seals, or other proprietary wrist seal systems.
Replacing silicone seals
If you need to replace a silicone seal at the dive site, you can pop out the system and replace the seal without specialist equipment. The set includes a pry tool specifically for this purpose.
Construction
The Fourth Element PSI Dryglove System rings are constructed from hardwearing anodised aluminium. The system is developed for diving in cold waters and is supplied in a zipped protective case together with silicone grease and a pry tool.
Available variants
The PSI Dryglove System is available in four variants. Standard sets are compatible with the Si-Tech PU ring (part number 60251). XL sets are compatible with the larger round ring used in the Si-Tech QCP modular system and are recommended for divers with very large hands only. Each size is available with retaining rings for thick drygloves or retaining rings for thin drygloves such as Marigolds.
- DSPSICOM — Standard, retaining rings for thick drygloves
- DSPSICOMS — Standard, retaining rings for thin drygloves
- DSPSICOMXLL — XL, retaining rings for thick drygloves
- DSPSICOMXLS — XL, retaining rings for thin drygloves
Spare components are available to purchase individually, including retaining rings. By having both types of retaining rings you can switch between thicker and thinner gloves depending on the dive.
